Blot the stain with a clean dry cloth or a paper towel soaking up the water and the stain and replacing the cloth as it becomes wet.

You will then need to spray hydrogen peroxide on to the stain before adding a good amount of baking soda ensuring the stain is fully covered. Let stand 10 to 15 minutes before vacuuming. Let the water stand for 30 seconds. Then sprinkle baking soda or cornstarch on the stain to soak up as much puke as possible.
