I recently revealed our next big project here. At some point your installer may need to remove your doors to complete the installation. If the new carpet is thicker your doors will have to be trimmed before they can be reinstalled. Getting new carpet installed in your home is definitely an exciting time but it does require quite a bit of preparation in order to minimize any hiccups in the process.

Conduct a final inspection of your new carpet and the installation site for your approval. Just be prepared to take your time and make sure you have the right tools which you can rent. As i previously shared the first thing we did was choose new carpet and padding. Installing carpet is a job you can do yourself to save money.

Provide you with warranty and care information for your new carpet. The care that you take with flooring preparation will help your new carpet to last as long as possible. It is so incredibly exciting and i am really very grateful to mohawk for making this entire process possible. Once you have measured asked for estimates and chosen a new carpet you must remove the old carpet.

Many homes replace their carpet approximately every 10 to 15 years.
